friends only

(or mostly.)

The first post is always awkward. It's more or less a rule, I think. Like, you don't want it to sound like a total copy of your about page (or profile, as the case may be), but you can't just launch right into blogging.

By the way, o random ad on Tinypic, I doubt that Barack Obama's IQ is 125, since I usually score 140-150 and I guess most of the math-related questions because I hate math and it requires too much thinking of the bad, boring kind.

Anyway, I guess this post is going to be me talking about myself so you can decide if you want to add me. I am, as my profile suggests, a narcissistic, obsessive, fatally organised grammar nazi who was born in the good old 1990s. I also happen to hate a lot of 90s music, in case anyone cares.

I can code but I can't design, and I am mad that the disable auto-formatting option is apparently not working. I don't need your random  s floating around randomly. I'm formatting this HOW I WANT TO FORMAT IT, foreal.

I am rambly and ranty and very opinionated. I like reading and writing and trying to sing but really making ears bleed. I can play four chords on the guitar and would like to learn more. What I want to be in the future flip flops around, but right now I'm thinking journalism would be a really, really, really good choice for me.

This journal is used for three reasons: 1) the occasional meme, although I promise it will be VERY occasional and I will cut it for your flist's pleasure; 2) a place for random thoughts that I don't want to post to my ~normal blog~; 3) the place where I go to when I'm being emo and angsty, though I do try to keep that to a minimum. I also tend to post movie reviews here instead of at my public blog.

This journal is courtesy of <user name="catherine">, who gave me the invite code way back in April or May. It is much appreciated, since I use this journal religiously. (I post an average of 3-5 times per week, if you don't count the cross-posts from my public blog.)

I am not terribly picky about who adds me. If you add me, please leave a comment on this post telling me who you are and how you know me. If you don't know me from somewhere else, tell me why you want me to add you.
